CEO, Principal Engineer
A Tampa, Florida native, Scott relocated to the Pacific Northwest in 2008 and founded Olio Apps in 2012. When not hanging out with his family, biking, or playing in his punk rock band, Scott helps define the scope of customer engagements and oversees the business administration of Olio Apps. Scott’s areas of specialty are in DevOps, product design, technical design, and full stack engineering in React, Golang, and Ruby.
CTO, Principal Engineer
Aron has lived in the Pacific Northwest since the turn of the century. He joined Scott at Olio Apps in late 2015 and helped scale the team to its present size. He is a family man and also has many hobbies, which include music composition, game programming, and reading. Aron’s areas of expertise are project management, dev team management, application architecture, and full stack engineering in Java, Golang, and React.
Dustin is a developer specializing in React web applications, working on the full application stack (CSS, components, redux/saga backend). He enjoys sipping good bourbon, sci-fi, and family time.
Todd is a full stack engineer specializing in discovery and rapid prototyping. He enjoys team problem-solving and supporting other developers. Todd has hobbies that include game design, microcontroller projects, metal smithing, and tabletop gaming.
Lead Software Engineer
Aaron is a full stack engineer specializing in data analysis and creative problem solving. He enjoys deriving new insights from data sets that can be utilized to improve business processes. On the weekends, he is often at the coast for diving or surfing, or at home reading or making wine.
Justin is a UI developer specializing in React and React Hooks. He encourages teamwork and promotes a growth mindset to those around him. While not developing, he enjoys attending local Meetups, game jams, bike-packing, and camping.
Derek is a full stack engineer with a passion for well-tested code and principled design. When not diving into component-driven development, you may find him playing along to records on his alto, reading short stories, or journaling. Originally a student of foreign languages and linguistics, one of Derek’s life goals is to be a hyperpolyglot.
Aaron is a full stack engineer specializing in backend development and serverless applications. He loves puzzling through difficult problems and adapting to changing technology. A recent transplant to the Pacific Northwest, he enjoys hiking, backpacking, skiing, and all the other great outdoor adventures the region has to offer.
Laurie is a full stack engineer with a background in publishing and editing. Of her many passions for development, she enjoys figuring out problems and being a lifelong learner. A transplant to the Pacific Northwest, Laurie likes to explore new scenery in her free time, camp, try dog parks, and hike.
Ian is a full stack engineer with an affinity for developing components, APIs, and testing. Hobby creative coding and generative art led him to a career in software development, giving his approach to problem solving a unique twist. In the analog world, he enjoys spending his time climbing, surfing, and making music.
Daniel is a full stack engineer who gets joy out of solving problems and crafting front end components. After a decade of IT work, he made the switch to software development and couldn't be happier. In his free time, he likes to make electronic music and use his espresso machine for making lattes.
Mukhtar is a proficient full stack engineer with a liking for technologies like React, Node, and TypeScript. He puts great value and emphasis on organization and structure regarding code, people, and processes. In his free time, he enjoys reading, cooking, going on walks, and studying arbitrary topics like history, people, and algorithms.
Business Development, Operations Manager
Jessica manages business development and operations at Olio Apps, orchestrating tasks, sales leads, and people to keep things humming along. She likes checklists, calendars, and proper English grammar. When not wrangling projects, you’ll probably find her writing, running, or reading.
